Twin brothers Obi and Malachi Griffith and their colleagues at WUSTL’s Genome Institute have created a massive online database that matches thousands of genes linked to cancer and other diseases with drugs that target those genes.

WUSTL employees’ annual open enrollment for the health/dental or dental-only plans, the Flexible Spending Accounts, the Health Savings Accounts and the Retirement Medical Savings Accounts will take place from Nov. 11 through Dec. 2. Enrollments and changes to these plans made during the open-enrollment period will be effective Jan. 1 for calendar year 2014.

Growing up under Taliban rule in Afghanistan, Shabana Basij-Rasikh’s family literally risked their lives to provide an education for their daughters. Today, Basij-Rasikh is paying her good fortune forward. Her message is simple: “Educate a girl. Change the world.” She delivers that message at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in Graham Chapel for the Assembly Series/Olin Fellowship Conference Lecture.
